Install and Activate Google Site Kit
Log into your WordPress and go to Plugins > Add New, search for a plugin called Site Kit by Google, install and activate it (01:05)
To use this plugin without having any issues, you need to disable Adblocker in your browser.
After you install and activate your Site Kit plugin, you’ll get a welcome notification, click Start Setup (01:31)
In the next window, you need to verify your domain/site ownership, do this by signing into your Google with your Gmail account that’s connected to your domain.
After signing in, it will show you that the Search Console is connected.
Go to Search Console under Site Kit on the dashboard (02:07), and it will show you a preview of your website performance, and you’re able to filter and view it either by 7 days, 14 days, 28 days, or 90 days.
If you want to connect other services, go to the Settings option under Site Kit, click on Connect more services and you’ll be able to connect AdSense, Analytics, and Page Speed (02:43)
The other services; Optimize and Tag Manager are deactivated because Analytics is not activated.
Connect Google AdSense
If you have AdSense and you want to monitor your earnings via your website dashboard, click on the Set up AdSense option, and then you will be required to log in with your AdSense email id, then after you grant access to Site Kit to access your data, your Adsense is connected.
And when you click on it you can be able to view your statistics/details, for example, your revenue, on your dashboard (03:21)
You can also click on your Advanced Settings and you’ll be redirected to your AdSense account.
Connect Google Analytics
In the same way, you can connect your Google Analytics to your Site Kit by clicking on the set up analytics option, and then you’ll have to log in with your Analytics details and grant access to Site Kit (04:14), and then you’ll be able to view you Analytics details on your website dashboard.
After you connect Analytics, the other 2 options; Optimize and Tag Manager are also activated.
Connect PageSpeed Insights
Back in your Settings under Site Kit, click on PageSpeed Insights and it will connect. Here you can view the details about your page speed and performance (06:24)
If you want to reset your Site Kit plugin, just go to the Admin Settings option and click the Reset Site Kit option. And if you want to enable tracking you can also just check that option (07:05)
That’s how you connect your Google services to your WordPress website using the Google Site Kit plugin.
You can connect any other listed services that you would like to use on your website via Site Kit, and you can be able to view details and statistics of your website’s performance right there in one place, without having to go to the individual sites when you need them.
