Things to Consider when Choosing a Theme
I have here a list of things you can consider when choosing a theme
1. Speed; is your theme fast and lightweight?
2. Extendibility; is the theme extendable? can it be used to build blogs/portfolios and wooCommerce stores?
3. Starter sites and templates; when you are building a website you need a starting point, so you need to make sure your theme has starter sites and templates that you can just import into your WordPress and start with.
4. Header Footer Builder; Are you able to create and customize your Headers and footers even in the free version?
5. Style & Typography; you should be able to style your page and blog post types.
6. RTL (right to left) support; is your theme translation ready?
7. Responsive design; is your website responsive on tablet and mobile devices?
All the themes I’m going to share with you have the above functionalities.
Let’s get started.
1. Astra Theme
This is the most popular WordPress theme, it is super responsive, fast and lightweight, with a cool WordPress customizer, and it is Elementor ready. Astra has one of the biggest libraries of premade websites that you can just import and use for free.
2. Kadence Theme
This theme came out at the end of 2020. Kadence just like Astra provides you with several starter templates, but on top of that, it provides you with an outstanding header builder which has more options than any other theme, and it’s very easy to use.
3. Hello Theme
This is a lightweight basic theme by Elementor. It is compatible with many WordPress plugins and it doesn’t have any unnecessary clutter running in the background of your website. It provides you with a platform to build your headers and footers in Elementor.
4. OceanWP Theme
This is the best alternative to the Astra theme, it offers almost everything that Astra offers. It gives you access to several starter sites that you can import and get started with, it’s fully responsive, fast, e-commerce ready, and translation ready. It also has a very good header-footer builder that you can customize to your needs even when using the free version. And of course, it offers even more options in the pro version.
5. Blocksy Theme
Even when this theme was built with Gutenberg in mind, it fully supports Elementor. You can even use it in the sections of your website where you don’t want to use Elementor. It is very fast and also comes with several premade sites that you can use. And you can customize everything according to your needs.
If you are looking to build an Elementor website without hustle; with the help of any of the above themes, you can create your website and customize it to your preference using the many premade starter sites and other features that these themes come bundled with. And you can do all this with the free versions, but their pro versions enable you to do even more.
